Common questions

What does a build cost?

A full build starts at $4,500, covering customer discovery, design direction, theme customization across every template, the technical build, and launch. Final scope depends on catalog size, template count, data migration, and any third-party integrations, so every proposal is priced to the project rather than to a package. The estimate form is the fastest route to a real number.

Why start from an existing theme instead of building custom?

Well-built Online Store 2.0 themes are already tested across thousands of storefronts for page speed, accessibility, and checkout stability, and they ship with ongoing maintenance as Shopify updates the platform. Rebuilding that foundation spends budget on work that has already been done well, and it introduces a codebase only your original developer understands. The investment goes into the layer that is genuinely yours: the design system, the content architecture, and the conversion path.

Will my store look like everyone else's?

No. The theme provides the structural framework, not the design. Typography scale, color system, layout, imagery treatment, content hierarchy, section order, and the full conversion path are customized to your brand across every template.

Can customers order online and pick up in store?

Yes. Shopify supports local pickup and local delivery as native fulfillment methods alongside shipping, configured by location with your own pickup windows and notifications. For a local business that path is often the highest-volume one, so it gets the same design attention as standard checkout.

Why do you interview my customers?

Because the alternative is designing against assumptions, and assumptions are expensive to correct once a store is live. The research runs about a week or two, depending on the number of customers interviewed. We conduct each interview ourselves, with the care required to surface what customers actually experienced, and you receive a written findings summary with prioritized optimizations that holds value independently of the build.

How long does a build take?

About seven weeks from kickoff to launch: two weeks of customer discovery, one week to establish design direction, three weeks of design and build, and launch in week seven. Catalog size, data migration, and turnaround on assets and feedback are the variables that move that timeline.

What do I need to have ready?

Product photography, product data including variants and pricing, and your brand assets and style guide if they exist. If the brand foundation needs work before the store can be built on it, we'll tell you during discovery rather than after the design is underway.

Do you move stores over from other platforms?

Yes. We migrate from Etsy, Squarespace, Wix, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and older Shopify themes, including product, customer, and order data, with redirects mapped from your existing URLs so you don't lose search rankings you've already earned.

What happens after launch?

You own the store outright, including the theme and every asset. Ongoing analytics review, funnel analysis, and campaign management are available as a separate monthly engagement, and it's optional.
